How Can You Be Heard?

Committee members and staff meet generally every four to six weeks to discuss utility matters with utility officials and the public. These meetings present the opportunity for individuals to express grievances or concerns about utility service or charges. If we are notified in advance of a particular customer problem, a utility company representative, regulator or other appropriate respondent will be contacted and invited to attend the meeting to address the customer's concerns.

The Committee encourages public participation in these meetings in order to remain informed about issues of concern to customers. While most meetings are held in the Salt Lake metropolitan area, the Committee occasionally conducts meetings throughout Utah to give rural Utahns opportunities to attend. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, individuals needing special accommodations (including auxiliary communicative aids and services) should contact the Committee offices at 530-6674 at least three working days prior to the meeting.
