Public Witness Days
In rate case and some other proceedings held before the Public Service Commission (Commission)
Utah ratepayers are given the opportunity to express their point of view on Public Witness Day.
If you wish to make a statement please sign in at the Commission’s office. Individuals wishing
to testify will be asked to state their name, their address and who they represent.
Those expressing their views can choose to be sworn in by the Commission or give an unsworn statement.
If an individual chooses to be sworn in, the Commission and attorneys representing the parties
(although unlikely) may ask questions. In addition, this sworn testimony may be considered by
the Commission in its decision-making process. The Commission cannot base its decision on unsworn testimony.
