The Committee participated in the 2006 General Session. Bills impacting natural gas issues are posted below:
HB 309S2 -Municipal Energy Sales and Use Tax Amendments (Sponsor: Rep. Greg Hughes). This bill limits the amount of energy sales and use tax a municipality may charge on gas sold or used to an average historical amount based on a per decatherm calculation. It passed on 2/28 (Picture shows Governor Jon Huntsman, Jr. signing the bill).
